Our Detailed 3-Step Fine Rug Washing & Drying Process

Comprehensive Diagnostic Inspection & Assessment

Every service begins with a detailed inspection of your property — inside, outside, and around all key entry points. We never clean a fine textile without first understanding its unique construction. Before a single drop of water touches your rug, our specialized technicians complete a thorough evaluation at our Caldwell studio to assess fiber strength and check structural borders.

What this includes:

  • Identifying soil activity and fiber species: We identify your rug's origin, construction style (hand-knotted, tufted, or machine-woven), and material composition (wool, silk, cotton, or jute) while testing all color blocks for dye migration risks.
  • Checking moisture areas, cracks, and entry points: We inspect fringe knotting, scan the backing for hidden moisture stains or backing dry rot using specialized light tools, and check edges for hidden insect or fiber moth damage.
  • Assessing fiber damage or heavy traffic behavior: We document wear on fringes, identify crushed sections from heavy furniture placement, and look for structural backing separation or foundation holes before washing.
  • Explaining everything we find in plain, simple terms: We provide a clear, written condition report detailing our findings, our customized Turkish machine wash plan, and accurate pricing before any cleaning work begins.

Kinetic Dust Extraction & Dry Soil Removal

Once the diagnostic inspection is complete, we move the rug to our specialized dusting deck. Traditional home vacuums only reach surface dirt, leaving heavy sand trapped deep inside your rug's foundation.

What this includes:

  • Vibrational Sand Removal: Our specialized, imported Turkish dusting machine applies gentle, low-frequency kinetic vibrations to the back of the rug, shaking loose pounds of abrasive sand.
  • Protecting Structural Warp Fibers: Removing dry silica sand before introducing moisture prevents it from turning into mud, which can permanently stain backing materials and wear down foundation knots.
  • Full Pile Debris Evacuation: Air filtration tables continuously draw away loosened dust, dander, and dry soil particles, leaving the rug fibers completely ready for the wash pool.

Soft-Water Submersion Washing & Controlled Tower Drying

The final phase involves our signature soft-water immersion bath and centrifuge extraction, completely flushing out deep dirt and pet stains while restoring original fiber softness.

What this includes:

  • Full-Submersion Cleanvac Wash Pool: Rugs are washed in a custom, soft-water pit with mild, pH-controlled shampoos, using gentle manual techniques to protect delicate hand-knotted structures.
  • Industrial Centrifuge Spin-Drying: Our high-speed Cleanvac centrifuge spin-drier rotates the rug rapidly, using centrifugal force to safely extract 99% of applied moisture in under three minutes to prevent color bleeding.
  • Climate-Controlled Tower Drying: Rugs are hung in a specialized drying tower that carefully regulates airflow, humidity, and temperature, ensuring quick drying that preserves rug shape and prevents mildew.
